Day 1 GUWAHATI – BHALUKPUNG (250 km / 5 hours)

Welcome on arrival in Guwahati & transfer to Bhalukpung, a town on the Assam – Arunachal Pradesh border. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bhalukpung.

Day 2 BHALUKPUNG – DIRANG (165 km / 6 hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Dirang (4910 ft). Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre.  Arunachal, the ‘Orchid Paradise’ is famed to have the largest variety of orchids in India. The Orchidarium at Tipi shelters 500 or more varieties of orchids which are available in various parts of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a premier Institute of excellence in orchid research and development, under the State Forest Research Institute (Department of Environment and Forests , Arunachal Pradesh). Overnight in Dirang

Day 3 DIRANG – TAWANG (150 km / 6 hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). Witness the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, Apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys. Enroute behold the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. ( Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Overnight in Tawang.


Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia. The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old  and is adorned   with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping. Overnight in Tawang.

Day 5 TAWANG – BOMDILA (180 km / 6 hrs)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Bomdila (7273 ft). You will take the same route during your return journey. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.

Day 6 BOMDILA – BHAULKPUNG (120 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Bhalukpung. Overnight in Bhalukpung.

Day 7 BHAUKPUNG – GUWAHATI (250 km / 5 hrs)

Morning after breakfast, enjoy rafting (subject to weather conditions). Rafting forms a day long adventure in a raft as you cruise along the waters of Jia Bhoroli river. The 2.5 hrs rafting will acquaint you with numerous birds. If you opt for a picnic lunch, your boatman will prepare simple local cuisine as you relax on the banks of the river. Disembark at bank. Later drive to Guwahati. Overnight in Guwahati.


In time Transfer to Guwahati airport / railway station for onward journey.
